Science Class Policies

Mr. Szekely

  • We emphasize the necessary skills for success in school throughout the entire school year.  These policies and guidelines are created to help students be responsible and organized as well as to establish a disruption-free learning environment.

  • Each day in science class, we begin class by writing our assignments in the agenda issued to each student.

  • Students are expected to use a folder, a small binder, an accordion file or a divider in their main binder to organize their science materials.  Students are instructed to keep their materials until we finish the current chapter and the chapter test has been returned.

The Four P’s  - Our Class Policies

  • Prompt - Be at your desk/table and prepared for class when class begins.  Students will be marked tardy when this policy is not followed.  Three tardies will result in a detention.

  • Prepared - Be prepared for class with pencils, pens, paper, textbooks, assignments and your agenda book.

  • Polite - Treat everyone with respect and courtesy.  Use polite and appropriate words, actions and tones when communicating with students and adults.

  • Productive - Use class time constructively by actively participating in all class activities, listening, following directions and completing ALL assignments.
